Narrative

William was a Captain in the 3rd Brigade Royal Horse Artillery, Royal Field Artillery , No 25023. I can find no official service record for him other than his first war medal roll, he gained the British Medal, the Victory medal and the 1914 Star medal. When younger, he lived at 12 brighton rd, parish of st. faith, south hackney, then lived with Eliza Hyatt ( married to William J. Shaw) at 2 whittington place, Islington from 1881 or earlier.

William E Hyatt 12/02/1916 Second Lieutenant to be made to Lieutenant, The Gazette Issue 29470 published on the 11 February 1916.
