John Hyatt 1767 Mr John Hyatt one of the provisional ministers of the tabernacle & Tottenham Court chapel London, thinking it prudent now? while I possess my reason, to dispose of what earthly property and any profits of my faith and therefore make my will as follows. I give the whole amount of my life assurance in Kew equitable assurance office which is one thousand pounds 0-0- together with whatever addition may be made thereto by the rules of that surety to my esteemed friends Mr Thomas Findon of John Street Fitzroy Square, and Mr Thomas Cope of Carmarthen St, I, J. H. trust to be applied as previously specified a thousand pounds to be placed at the best interest that can be obtained upon an undoubted surety which interest shall be regularly paid to my beloved wife during her natural life and I appoint that the whole of the additional sum arrived from the equitable assurance surety is of the sum consisting one thousand pounds be laid out in an annuity upon her life thereby to increase her amount beyond what the sure interest of the whole sum would provide. Also I give to my beloved wife all other property possessed by me at my death whether consisting in money, house hold furniture, plate and books etc etc to be disposed of by her as she may think proper after my funeral expenses and debts are discharged. The thousand pounds at interest at the disposal of my beloved wife I give as follows: - to my daughter Eliza five hundred pounds, to my son Charles two hundred and fifty pounds, to each of my other children, Maria, William, George, John and Samuel fifty pounds each. Should any or either of my children die before their mother, I appoint that his or her or their share as explained previously be divided up in equal parts between the survivors. I request that my esteemed friends Mssrs Findon and Cope will accept a ring in token of my great regard for them and as an expression of my gratitude to them for any trouble which the execution of this instructional my cost them.
